Aija Tingling
The Hon. Aija Tingling is a judge of the New York County Supreme Court. As of January 2025, she handles primarily matrimonial matters. She assumed most of the case inventory from Hon. Ariel Chesler and Hon. Kathleen Waterman Marshall.
Trellis Law indicates that previously Tingling was a judge for the Bronx County Family Court in the Twelfth Judicial District of New York. She was elected to the bench in 2017. Prior to her election, Tingling worked as an attorney at Lewis, Brisbois, Bisgaard & Smith since 2010.
Tingling earned a B.S. from Morgan State University. She then completed a J.D. from North Carolina Central University School of Law in 2005.
Hon. Milton A. Tingling, the County Clerk of New York County, is her father.
